St. Thomas More Mission Trip Pre-trip Checklist
As part of the mission trip preparation process, there are several required items that must be completed before the trip. These steps help ensure the safety, readiness, and overall well-being of everyone participating.
Please review the checklist below and begin working through each item as soon as possible. Some requirements may take additional time, so starting early is encouraged. You’ll receive further communication from the trip leaders as your application is reviewed and as important dates approach.
Pre-Trip Requirements Checklist
1) $250 Deposit: Submit 3 months before departure date (non-refundable).
2) Remainder of the Payment: Submit 6 weeks before departure date.
3) Hold/Harmless Form: Sign and email it to philsmith4470@gmail.com 3 months before departure date.
4) Guatemalan Immigration Form: Complete no earlier than one week before departure, and no later than one day before departure.
5) Confirm Valid Passport: Make sure expiration date is more than 6 months after the date of departure from Guatemala.
Guatemalan Immigration Form Tips
These tips will help you fill out the information requested in the general electronic Guatemala immigration form.
Online registration available 10 days before traveling.
You must fill out an entry/arrival and exit/departure form (print QR code to have when traveling, don't have it on your phone).
Entry airport “La Aurora”
Given name (first name), Surname (last name).
On date of birth, plug in as day/month/year, not month/day/year (different from how we do it)
Travel reason “turismo”.
Foreseen Address “San Andres Itzapa”.
All questions are NO or Zero except how many bags that are traveling with you.
Date of entry is the day we arrive, and date of exit is the date we leave.
Travel document is your passport number.
You’ll receive flight numbers well in advance of the trip.
