This college interns mission trip is designed for students seeking a deeper, hands-on experience of service, faith, and cultural immersion. Participants will travel to San Andrés Iztapa, Guatemala, where they will live and work alongside fellow students while supporting meaningful service projects in partnership with the local community.

While the service projects are the same as our other Guatemala mission trips, this experience is intentionally framed for college students and young adults—creating space for growth, shared living, reflection, and building relationships with peers at a similar stage of life.

What We’ll Do
Participants will take part in hands-on service projects that respond directly to local needs. These projects may include building chicken coops and pig pens, constructing cinder-block stoves, and pouring cement floors for homes. The week also includes visiting the sick and elderly, delivering food, and spending time at an orphanage and a school for children with disabilities.

Where We’ll Stay
Participants will stay at a Carmelite convent in San Andrés Iztapa. Lodging is simple, safe, and welcoming, with private or shared rooms depending on group size. The convent provides a peaceful environment that supports rest, reflection, and community life throughout the week.

Trip Cost & Inclusions
The total cost of the trip is normally $1,795, however, thanks to a generous donation, you only have to pay $500. This includes airfare, meals, lodging, and all materials needed for service projects, allowing participants to focus fully on the mission experience. (The only costs it does not cover are meals you may buy in the airport, souvenirs, and lunch when we sightsee and shop in Antigua on the last day.)
